Short Bio

Dr. M. S. Senthil Kumar received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, in 2016. He has a postgraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, in 2000 following his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University in 1998. He has 23 years of national and international professional experience in teaching, research, including a stint in the industry. He is a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Builders Engineering College since June 2019. He also serves as vice principal of the college, the IQAC coordinator, and overall NBA coordinator at Builders Engineering College. His other institutional level responsibilities include developing UG and PG curricula, ensuring quality, and conducting examinations, apart from being on various accreditation related committees. His research interests include natural fibre reinforced polymer composite materials, synthetic fibre reinforced polymer composite materials and nanocomposite materials. His research articles/papers have been published in various peer-reviewed journals, including SCI, SCIE, Scopus, and Google Scholar-indexed journals, and he has presented at various conferences. He is a life member and an annual member of four professional bodies (ISTE, TSI, ISRD and SAE). He has evaluated several peer-reviewed journals. He is also a NCC 'C' certificate holder.
